Asset management and warehouse logistics with WhatsApp notifications and an Android app. Innovation finalist and approved under the Lei do Bem (Brazil's innovation tax incentive law).

Context

The Águas do Paraíba warehouse had a queue at the counter and no visibility: whoever requested a material didn't know when it would be ready.

Problem

Provide control over the material picking flow, from request to pickup, without forcing anyone to install yet another complicated system.

What I did

The idea came from the administrative coordinator; I designed and built the entire solution. The NestJS backend uses BullMQ queues for notifications through the WhatsApp API. The web frontend is in React, and the Android app in React Native (Expo). I owned the entire AWS infrastructure: ECS, EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda and Load Balancer.

Outcome

Requesters started following every step through WhatsApp. The project was a finalist in Grupo Águas do Brasil's Innovation Week, joined the group's innovation program and was approved under the Lei do Bem (Brazil's innovation tax incentive law), generating a tax benefit for the company.
